An exceptional Antwerp Baroque ebony and ebonised cabinet inset with painted copper panels with Old Testamentic scenes, ca. 1650 The two moulded-panel doors enclose a series of small drawers that encircle a small central door, behind which is an architectural interior with columns, arches, mirrors, and a parquet floor of ebony and bone cubes, the inside of the doors and all the drawers painted with scenes from the Old Testament. The concave top includes a compartment with a mirror. The whole rests on a plexi base.
